Fit depends on HCPC and CSP registration, at least two years' physiotherapy experience and lone working in a prison setting.

What the job involves

• Manage a clinical caseload including offender health patients and possible private or staff patients
• Provide advanced assessment and treatment for complex and chronic conditions as an autonomous practitioner
• Determine clinical diagnoses and treatment plans
• Maintain clinical records and ensure high standards of care
• Develop and expand business opportunities within the service
• Work within contract-specific KPIs and report statistics to senior management
• Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies and clinical governance
• Liaise regularly with senior management and contribute to continuous improvement
• Manage physiotherapy services across multiple locations if required
• Maintain and report on clinical incidents, complaints and compliments
• Take part in monthly feedback and meetings with senior management

What’s required

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification such as an MSc

Registration & licences

• HCPC registration as a physiotherapist
• CSP registration

Experience

• Minimum of two years as a physiotherapist
• Exposure to rotational roles in respiratory, MSK and neuro
• Experience of independent and lone working

Skills & knowledge

• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office

Other

• Energetic and proactive, able to work flexibly within a prison clinical setting
