Job summary

Active Neuro Manchester, part of Active Care Group, is seeking a Physiotherapist to assess, treat and manage a diverse neuro caseload in our Neuro Hub and client homes.

You will work autonomously within a skilled multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care, writing reports, and aligning programmes with rehabilitation packages. A full UK driving licence and vehicle access are essential.

Qualifications

  • Qualified physiotherapist with suitable clinical expertise in neuro rehab.
  • Must be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication with clients, carers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive assessment, advice, and treatment of clients with neurological conditions.
  • Manage own caseload as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Work within the multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development, audits and meetings.
  • Demonstrate empathy with clients and families and maintain clear clinical records.
  • Engage in CPD and promote skills and innovation within the team.
  • Maintain up-to-date reports and align treatment with rehabilitation plans.
  • Oversee treatment programmes to match clinical recommendations and commissioned packages.

As a Physiotherapist, you will play a key role in assessing, treating, and managing individuals with a wide range of conditions, helping them to achieve their maximum potential. This role offers a diverse caseload, working within our cutting-edge Neuro Hub and delivering high-quality care to clients in their homes and communities, and therefore a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. We work with clients with a wide range of neurological conditions to include: Acquired brain injury Spinal Cord Injury Stroke Neurological Degenerative conditions such as MND and MS Polytrauma clients to include orthopaedic injuries Upper and lower limb amputees

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive assessment, advice, and treatment of clients following life changing catastrophic injury
  • Manage own caseload working as an autonomous practitioner
  • Provide Physiotherapist as part of the multidisciplinary team, and be involved in interdisciplinary team service developments, meetings and audit as appropriate
  • Demonstrate empathy with distressed clients, carers/ families and colleagues, ensuring that effective communication is achieved, particularly where barriers to understanding exist
  • Undertake continuous professional development and invest in the team by promoting excellent skills and embedding innovation
  • Write reports in a range of styles as well as keeping up to date with clinical record keeping
  • Keep an overview of treatment programmes to ensure they are aligned with clinical recommendations and the rehabilitation package commissioned for each client
