Job summary

Sirona care & health invites applications for a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Burren Intermediate Care Beds Service in the Bristol area. You will be part of a founding therapy team developing pathways, setting ways of working and delivering a high-quality rehabilitation service.

The role focuses on complex rehab, discharge planning and collaboration across nursing, OT, medical and community colleagues within the BNSSG system. NHS benefits apply and career development is encouraged.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients with complex physical, medical and frailty-related conditions.
• Work as an autonomous practitioner within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
• Develop person-centred rehabilitation goals that maximise independence and recovery.
• Facilitate timely discharge planning and safe transitions back into the community.
• Support patients with a wide range of conditions including frailty, long-term conditions, neurological, medical and surgical presentations.
• Work collaboratively with nursing, occupational therapy, medical, social care and community colleagues.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and audit.
• Provide supervision and support to junior staff, support workers and students.
• Help establish and embed new clinical pathways and rehabilitation practices within the service.
