You will manage a complex caseload, including patients with Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Motor Neurone Disease, and Traumatic Brain Injury.

The role requires collaboration as part of a multi-professional team with other AHPs, nursing, and psychology colleagues to assess and deliver rehabilitation in the most appropriate environment for patients.

Basic IT Skills are also required.

A full UK driving license and access to a car are essential.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Assessing and treating your caseload of patients in various settings, including patients’ homes and clinics needing specialist neurological intervention.
  2. Acting as an autonomous practitioner and a source of expertise for junior staff, rehabilitation assistants, colleagues in the integrated community rehab services, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Referral management and triage.
  4. Undertaking training, including audit and evaluation, in conjunction with GMNISDN.
  5. Contributing to team in-service training and identifying personal training needs through supervision and appraisal.
  6. Leading the training and supervision of student physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants.
