Job summary

HCRG Care Group in Luton is seeking a Band 5 Physiotherapist to join the Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Service. You will assess and treat patients in their own homes and in rehabilitation beds, managing your own caseload within a multidisciplinary team to deliver personalised rehabilitation goals.

You will complete holistic assessments, plan and deliver interventions, review progress and adapt treatments to maximise independence.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or BSc in Physiotherapy.
  • Current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Knowledge and experience relevant to rehabilitation.
  • Good physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills.
  • Ability to establish appropriate functional rehabilitation goals.
  • Understanding of the principles of Intermediate Care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, clinical governance and professional boundaries.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Identify and appropriately escalate welfare, safeguarding or clinical concerns.
  • Maintain clear, accurate and timely clinical records and reports.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance activity and audits.
  • Contribute to evidence-based practice, service improvement and research activity where appropriate.

Are you a Physiotherapist looking for an opportunity to develop your rehabilitation skills while helping people regain their independence?

We’re looking for a motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our Intermediate Care Rehabilitation Service in Luton.

You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing and treating patients in their own homes as well as within rehabilitation beds. You’ll manage your own caseload, working closely with patients and their families to understand what matters to them and develop personalised rehabilitation goals.

Your role will involve completing holistic physiotherapy assessments, planning and delivering appropriate interventions, reviewing progress and adapting treatment plans to help patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

You’ll also have the opportunity to respond to urgent referrals and develop your experience within Intermediate Care, while receiving support and supervision to continue building your clinical confidence and professional skills.

Main Responsibilities

As a Band 5 Physiotherapist, you will:

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be a compassionate and motivated Physiotherapist who enjoys working collaboratively with patients to help them achieve meaningful rehabilitation outcomes.

You’ll be comfortable working independently with your own caseload while recognising when advice or additional support is required. You’ll also enjoy being part of a wider multidisciplinary team and contributing to an integrated approach to patient care.

You will have:

  • Diploma or BSc in Physiotherapy
  • Current HCPC registration as a Physiotherapist
