Job summary

Blue Care in Queensland is seeking a Physiotherapist to work across Wynnum, Carina, Wacol and surrounding areas. This permanent role offers full-time or part-time hours (minimum 3 days per week), Monday to Friday, with pay between AUD 42.15 and 53.96 per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging options.

You will develop treatment programs, assess clients, select assistive devices, educate carers and residents, set goals, and coordinate with GPs, nurses and other therapists to ensure

• Experience in Aged Care or Community setting preferred
• Exceptional communication skills and autonomy

• Employment Term: Permanent Full Time or Part Time (minimum 3 days per week) Monday to Friday
• Location: Servicing areas of Wynnum - Carina - Wacol and surrounding regions
• Remuneration: $42.15 to $53.96 p/hr (dependent on experience) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging + Penalties & Allowances
• Classification: PO2.1 to PO3.1 - determined by demonstrated experience

You'll Have The Opportunity To Develop Treatment Programs, Helping Clients And Residents To Manage Their Movement, Pain, Balance And Manual Handling. This Will Include

• Diagnosing, assessing and developing care plans for individuals and groups
• Prescription and selection of appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive technology
• Education and training on aspects of therapy for carers, clients and residents
• Goal setting activities, as well reablement and discharge planning
• Liaising with healthcare professionals, such as GPs, nurses and occupational therapists to ensure care plans are coordinated and monitored

You'll be self-motivated and driven to incorporate contemporary theory in your day-to-day activities and make a real difference to the lives of our clients and residents! You'll present with:

• Tertiary Qualifications and full, unrestricted AHPRA registration and unlimited work entitlements - Essential
• Previous experience within an Aged Care or Community setting
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build great relationships
• Confidence in managing your time effectively, including an ability to work autonomously.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
