The successful applicant will deliver GCSE and A-Level Physics in a high-achieving department with a strong emphasis on student excellence.

QTS is essential. The role offers MPS/UPS pay, a well-structured timetable, and the potential to extend or convert to a permanent position in due course.

Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover (January 2027 - November 2027)

Long Term Futures is delighted to be working in partnership with a prestigious Independent Boys' Secondary School in Edgbaston to recruit an outstanding Physics Teacher for a full-time maternity cover position.

This role is scheduled to run from January 2027 until November 2027, with the potential for the contract to be extended or even become permanent. Further details regarding the future of the position will be discussed with shortlisted candidates during the interview process.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-achieving department where students are academically selected and demonstrate excellent attitudes towards learning. The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional Physics lessons and inspiring pupils to achieve academic excellence at both GCSE and A-Level.

About the Role

Working within a successful Science department, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Planning and delivering engaging and challenging Physics lessons to GCSE and A-Level students

The successful candidate will benefit from a well-balanced timetable comprising 39 teaching periods per week, with 9 protected non-contact periods dedicated to planning, preparation, and marking. Each lesson is 40 minutes in duration.
