Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver patient-centered care in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will implement plans created by Licensed PTs, guide patients through rehab, and document progress in the EMR while maintaining a safe therapy space.

This role emphasizes orthopedic rehab experience, strong communication, and the ability to motivate patients toward rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Orthopedic rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and rehab programs.
• Monitor patient response and report progress to supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, goals, injury prevention, and home plans.
• Document treatments, responses, and progress in the EMR.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Collaborate with PTs and other healthcare professionals.
• Encourage patient engagement and adherence to rehab plans.
• Maintain equipment and treatment areas per standards.
• Perform other duties to support department operations.

Duly Health and Care in Joliet is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant who is committed to empowering health and elevating care for our patients while also pursuing innovative solutions with their care team that move healthcare forward.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and rehabilitation programs.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and recommendations to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercise programs, treatment goals, injury prevention, and home exercise plans.
• Accurately document patient treatments, responses, and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, providers, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
• Promote patient engagement and encourage adherence to rehabilitation plans.
• Maintain equipment and treatment areas according to department standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required.
• Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Previous orthopedic rehabilitation experience required.Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques, rehabilitation principles, and patient care practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
• Ability to motivate patients and foster positive rehabilitation outcomes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $24.00-$40.00 an hour depending upon the applicant’s qualifications and experience. In addition to the base compensation, this position may also be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
