Job summary

NHS Scotland is looking for a band 5 or band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Children and Young People’s physiotherapy service in Tayside. The post covers work across Dundee, Angus, Perth or Acute bases, with a 36-hour week and a fixed-term/secondment until 31 July 2027.

You will work with children from birth to 18 years old, in schools, nurseries, homes, inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborating with education and other health professionals.

Qualifications

  • Good communication skills and commitment to multidisciplinary working.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy required.
  • Registration with the appropriate physiotherapy body may be expected.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time band 5 or band 6 Physiotherapist (depending on experience) to join our team within the Tayside Child Health Physiotherapy Service. We provide a three tiered model of service delivery including universal, targeted and specialist interventions to children and young people from birth to 18years. This post will be located within one of the Physiotherapy teams across Tayside (Dundee, Angus, Perth or Acute) base to be determined on recruitment.

This post will offer the post holder the opportunity to work with children in mainstream schools, nurseries, specialist school, at home, in-patients and in outpatient clinics. The post holder will work closely with a wide range of professionals including education and other health professionals. NHST Children and Young Peoples physiotherapy service are dedicated to providing opportunities for CPD and career development.

We are looking for an individual who has good communication skills and is committed to multidisciplinary working. Applicants should have a degree in Physiotherapy.
