Job summary

Roc Search Limited is seeking a PHP Software Developer to design and maintain web applications using PHP with Laravel, and to leverage JavaScript for frontend work and API integration. The role includes database optimisation with MySQL and collaboration across teams.

The position requires 3-4+ years of PHP experience, Linux familiarity, and a drive to learn. It offers hybrid working in the UK, a discretionary bonus, and opportunities for formal training within a growing technology services

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years’ experience as a PHP software developer.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with PHP, Laravel and JavaScript in web apps.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Familiarity with Linux, APIs, and code review/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using PHP & Laravel.
• Frontend work with JavaScript and API integration.
• Maintain and optimize MySQL databases.
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues and improve performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
• Product enhancements and code reviews using Claude Code.
