Job summary

Lendable is recruiting a Mid level PHP Engineer to join the UK Loans team, based in or around London. You will work on backend services, APIs, and lending platforms, shaping the customer journey with modern PHP technologies and service-oriented architecture.

The role offers ownership from day one in a fast-growing fintech environment with a hybrid in-office/remote setup, collaborating with top engineers across backend, frontend, and platform disciplines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with PHP.
• Strong, business oriented engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must).
• High degree of ownership and autonomy.
• A good understanding of Symfony.
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems and Event Sourcing would be a plus.
• Strong automatic testing skills (unit, integration, functional, behat).
• Experience working on financial systems is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and contribute in a highly collaborative team is desirable.

We're looking for a Mid level PHP Engineer to join our growing UK Loans team, either based in or around London

Our engineering organisation is home to over 200 talented engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and platform disciplines.

You'll have the opportunity to work on everything from building and integrating new APIs to enhance the customer journey, to optimising our lending platforms, and engaging in deep architectural discussions. There's plenty to tackle, and we're excited to find the right people to take on the challenge.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• 3+ years experience with PHP

• Strong, business oriented, engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must)
