The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is hiring a Supervising Phlebotomist to join the phlebotomy team across Telford and Shrewsbury sites. The role involves supervising phlebotomy staff, venepuncture duties, and data recording in a busy clinical diagnostics environment.

Permanent, full-time Band 3, salary £25,760–£27,476 per year, Agenda for Change. Applicants should have phlebotomy experience, paediatric venepuncture, and strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum)
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• Experience as a phlebotomist
• Paediatric venepuncture experience

Responsabilités

• Collect blood samples by venepuncture from adults and paediatrics across sites
• Record and label samples accurately according to SOPs
• Update statistics and enter data into relevant databases
• Supervise phlebotomy/booking teams and maintain rota plans
