Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a Deputy Phlebotomy Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the phlebotomy team at Leighton Hospital. You will deputise for the Phlebotomy Manager and supervise staff to maintain best practice across sites.

The role requires experience in phlebotomy techniques, strong communication and IT skills, and a proactive approach to service improvement.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.
• Trained phlebotomist with practical experience.
• Desirable: Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook (OCR equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of the phlebotomy team at Leighton Hospital.
• Deputise for the Phlebotomy Manager and support supervisors.
• Ensure standardised best practices across locations and supervise staff.
