Job summary

Your World is recruiting a Healthcare Assistant for a temporary role in Bedford. The position requires a minimum of 12 months’ phlebotomy experience and involves working in mobile clinics across England.

The role focuses on accurate clinical measurements, venous blood sampling, and ensuring safe participant care within a fast-paced environment. Pay rates range from £15 to £20 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay, with shifts across Mon-Fri, Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ phlebotomy experience with validated competency in venepuncture.
• Strong communication skills with participants, colleagues, and visitors.
• Ability to work collaboratively across clinical teams.
• flexibility to travel between sites to support service needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete all required participant assessments including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, waist measurement, and venous blood sampling.
• Ensure measurements and samples are taken safely, accurately, and recorded in the clinical system.
• Support participant flow to minimise delays and provide on-site operational support.
• Escalate risks and incidents following governance processes and report via Datix.
