Your World is seeking a Healthcare Assistant with a minimum of 12 months’ phlebotomy experience for a locum role at Newbridge Drive. Pay ranges from £15 to £20 per hour PAYE, with shifts across Mon-Sun and a start ASAP for the temporary booking through 23/10/2026 to 30/11/2026.

The role supports mobile clinics across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, delivering high-quality clinical services and high standards of data collection in research projects. Travel between sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months’ phlebotomy experience, with validated venepuncture competency.
• Experience in an outpatient or similar clinical environment.
• Trained in Basic Life Support (ILS/ALS desirable).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with participants, colleagues, and visitors.
• Ability to work collaboratively across clinical teams.
• First Aid training.
• Experience in performance management or supporting team development.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate, support, and lead teams.

Responsabilités

• Complete all required participant assessments, including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight, waist measurement and venous blood sampling, recorded in the clinical system.
• Monitor participant welfare and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Provide signposting, advice and guidance to participants.
• Prepare and package samples for courier collection.
• Support participant flow to minimise delays and maintain an efficient service.
• Provide on-site operational support and cover during breaks.
• Report incidents and contribute to safety/governance activities.
