Swansea Bay University Health Board is recruiting for a fixed-term Band 2 Phlebotomy role (3 months) to cover maternity leave. The post involves venepuncture across hospital wards and clinics, with potential site visits across Morriston, Singleton, NPT and related centres.

Weekend/bank holiday rota and travel between sites are required. Applicants with Phlebotomy experience are welcome, and Welsh language ability is desirable.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or equivalent required.
• Vocational qualification in Healthcare Science or equivalent highly desirable.
• ECDL or equivalent computer literacy expected.

Responsabilités

• To collect blood samples by venepuncture from patients in a supervised environment.
• Communicate effectively with staff and patients, being sensitive to patients' needs.
• Learn Phlebotomy skills to enable accurate sample collection.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas.
• Work accurately and safely under pressure.
• Welsh-speaking ability is desirable; Welsh/English speakers welcome.
