Job summary

Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Band 3 Community Phlebotomist to join Harrow Integrated Care Service. You will provide phlebotomy across the Harrow area, working with District Nursing Teams to deliver safe, timely and person-centred care in community settings.

The role requires NVQ level 3 (care) or equivalent, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 (care) or equivalent.
• Previous community experience.
• Knowledge of venepuncture and blood pressure monitoring.
• Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality and compassionate phlebotomy service to patients across the Harrow Integrated Care Service.
• Work within community settings, supporting patients to access timely care closer to home.
• Work closely with District Nursing Teams, clinicians and other healthcare professionals to support safe and coordinated patient care.
• Provide a professional, respectful and reassuring experience for patients from a wide range of backgrounds and communities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and colleagues, ensuring information is shared appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across community and acute services, maintaining positive working relationships.
• Contribute to the smooth and effective delivery of the phlebotomy service across the Harrow localities.

Are you an experienced Phlebotomist looking for an opportunity to make a real difference to patients within their own community?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Community Phlebotomist to join our Harrow Integrated Care Service, working alongside our District Nursing Teams to provide high-quality, compassionate care to the diverse communities we serve.

You will play an important role in supporting patients across Harrow, delivering phlebotomy services within community settings and working closely with nurses, clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, timely and person‑centred care.

You will be based within one of our 3Harrow localities and become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, with opportunities to build strong relationships across both community and acute services.

We are looking for someone who is caring, reliable and confident in their phlebotomy skills, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing a positive experience for every patient.
