Job summary

University Medical Group in Normanton on Trent is seeking a part-time phlebotomist to join our nursing team for blood sampling, BP checks, and ECGs. The role includes administering B12 injections and seasonal vaccines under patient-specific directions, with training provided.

You'll work weekday days with roughly one Saturday morning per month, supporting student paramedics and other staff. A phlebotomist certificate and Care Certificate are required; EMIS training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy and blood sample collection.

• Use EMIS/Ardens templates with training provided.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinical areas.
• Order clinical supplies.
• Other duties as required.

Job description

This is a part-time, permanent phlebotomist post in the nursing team at University Medical Group, a single-site practice caring for around 32,000 patients. The work centres on blood sampling, blood pressure checks and ECGs, alongside B12 and seasonal vaccinations given under patient specific directions. Hours run weekday daytime with one Saturday morning a month, in a practice that hosts student paramedics, pharmacy and PA students. A phlebotomist certificate and the Care Certificate are required, and EMIS training is provided.
