Sanford is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to collect blood samples from patients/residents and explain procedures clearly. You will record information accurately and uphold safety standards.

Responsibilities include deploying asepsis techniques during phlebotomy, following all procedures, and communicating with patients about the process and any questions they have. Rotating shifts with 36 hours weekly.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program; experience preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients/residents; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.
• Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
• May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
