Job summary

Church Mission Society in Oxford is seeking a Philanthropy Director to lead major gifts and develop CMS's first dedicated philanthropy approach, in partnership with the Director of Fundraising and Communications. You will manage a four-person team and engage with high-net-worth donors to secure significant gifts for CMS's UK and overseas work.

You will oversee trusts and foundations and build a stewardship framework, working with fundraising, communications and finance to align the entire

Qualifications

• Proven major gifts track record.
• Experience generating income from philanthropic relationships.
• Comfort negotiating with senior figures and high-net-worth donors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of four (trusts and relationships lead, major donor and trusts officer, copywriter, supporter care and events officer).
• Hold your own caseload of major donor relationships and negotiate five- and six-figure gifts for CMS’s work UK and overseas.
• Oversee trusts and foundations portfolio and build a stewardship framework.
