Job summary

Church Mission Society is seeking a philanthropic leader to develop and own CMS's first dedicated philanthropy strategy. You will lead a team of four, manage major donor relationships, and negotiate significant gifts for CMS's work in the UK and overseas.

This hybrid role based in Oxford entails travel across the UK and occasional international travel, working with colleagues to drive an ambitious income growth plan and strengthen the stewardship framework for CMS's supporters.

Qualifications

• Proven major gifts track record.
• Experience generating income from philanthropic relationships.
• Comfort negotiating with senior figures and high-net-worth donors.
• Willingness to travel UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of four and manage a major donor and trusts portfolio.
• Develop CMS's first dedicated philanthropy approach alongside the Director of Fundraising and Communications.
• Deliver against an ambitious income growth plan and secure five- and six-figure gifts.
