Job summary

Boots UK is offering a trainee dispenser role in-store within the UK. No prior experience is required and full training will be provided as you work toward the NVQ2 dispenser qualification.

You will assist the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions and providing patient advice, while developing skills in safe medicines management and customer care. The role emphasizes patient interactions, adherence support, and evolving store technologies, with a pathway to further training as a Pharmacy

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines; refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Help patients manage prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence.
