Job summary

Boots UK is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to work in-store across the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare team, dispensing prescriptions and giving health guidance as you complete your NVQ2 Dispenser training.

No prior experience is required, and full training will be provided. This role is in a Boots store in the UK, with a salary quoted as an hourly rate and the usual UK benefits package.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
