Job summary

Boots in-store is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our pharmacy team and assist the pharmacist in delivering safe, efficient pharmacy and healthcare services. You’ll train on NVQ2, build relationships with patients, and support dispensing, advice, and adherence in a busy store environment.

The role is UK-based with no remote work, and eligibility to work in the UK is required. Full training will be provided as you progress toward the NVQ2 Dispenser qualification.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience working in community pharmacy (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals to assist in delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adherence to medicines.
