Job summary

Boots Group is recruiting a Trainee Dispenser to join the in-store pharmacy team in the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals, dispense prescriptions, and provide medication advice while completing your Dispenser NVQ2 training.

Full training is provided, and candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Remote work is not available and the role offers in-store development opportunities with a progressive career path within Boots.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and repeats to promote adherence and reduce waste.
