Job summary

Boots Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to deliver patient-centred service and expert medicines advice in-store. You will support the healthcare team, triage patients, and coach dispensary staff to maintain high standards of care.

The role involves stock management, prescription handling, and ensuring safe, legal practice within a Boots setting. Training and career progression opportunities are available across the Boots network.

Qualifications

• Registered with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, PSI).
• Coaching and leading a dispensary team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Motivation to improve teams, customers and patients.
• Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
• Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Responsibilities

• Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines, products or Macmillan Cancer Support.
• Delivering services as required by the store.
• Building strong relationships with the pharmacy team and coaching them to deliver high standards of care.
• Assisting with triage of patients and distributing prescription handouts.
• Taking ownership for legal, safe and ethical decision-making in the pharmacy.
• Managing stock, workload, order fulfilment, receiving and handling controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.
