Penrose Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician/Dispenser to support safe medication services across our practices. You’ll work with Pharmacists, GPs, and the wider clinical team to manage prescription workflows, monitor medications, and support audits—ensuring patients receive the best care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Dispenser in GP Practice or busy community pharmacy, or be a registered Pharmacy Technician.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing and documentation.
• Strong communication with patients, pharmacists and the MDT.
• Enjoy problem-solving and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Stay organised and proactive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Managing prescription workflows – safe, smooth, and on time.
• Monitoring medications – blood tests and drug levels for safety.
• Handling prescription queries – resolves issues clearly.
• Liaising with pharmacies and hospitals – alignment across teams.
• Processing clinical letters – turning paperwork into action.
• Supporting audits & medicines optimisation – reducing waste.
• Contributing to cost-effective prescribing decisions.
• Managing stock of emergency drugs – ensure availability.
• Liaising with wider MDT – teamwork in care delivery.
