We have an exciting opportunity for a patient-focused, enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join our Dispensary team, providing pharmaceutical services to patients in the largest hospital in the Scottish Highlands.
This is an exciting time to join our hospital pharmacy team. We have recently installed robotics in our dispensary and distribution services and are implementing a Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicine Administration (HEPMA) system as part of an ambitious collaboration across six north board areas.
The successful applicant will assist with the day-to-day management of the dispensary, undertake various challenging roles within a continually evolving area, and participate in service improvements. Responsibilities include staff training, supervision, and development.
The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of pharmacy practice, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
You must be a registered pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), committed to Continuous Professional Development. Post-qualification knowledge and experience, along with a recognised Dispensary or Accredited Accuracy Checking Qualification, are required.
We have a friendly and modern team dedicated to service modernization and developing the roles of pharmacy technicians and support staff. We encourage further training and support it actively. The role involves participating in departmental rotas for extended hours, weekends, and public holidays.
