An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician at a higher level to enhance the education and training of pharmacy staff. Position:
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent based Pharmacy Technician Higher Level (Education & Training) at both Ailsa Hospital and University Hospital Crosshouse.
What you will do:
You will support the Pharmacy Technician Specialist (Education & Training) in relation to all aspects of Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacy Support Worker education and training.
The successful candidate will support, develop, coordinate and deliver education and training for pharmacy technicians and support workers covering all education requirements. You will support the development and implementation of national competency frameworks, provide support for work based assessors and develop in service training.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You must be a qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC with evidence of continuing professional development and revalidation. You should possess a PDA SCQF/ Level 8 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, SVQ Work based assessor qualification, Final Accuracy Checking qualification in Dispensary and/or Aseptic, Professional Development Award – Assessment and supply of individual patients Medicines, HNC/BTEC Pharmacy Services Development and Management or equivalent or working towards.
You should also have substantial technical and pharmacy experience as a qualified pharmacy technician.
Hours:
37 per week. In accordance with AfC Terms and conditions, you may be required to work over 7 days and/or an extended working day. Part-time/job share would be considered.
Driving Licence/Car Ownership:
A car licence/Car ownership is essential to this role.
