Job summary

Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon is seeking a motivated Bank Pharmacy Technician to join our modern private hospital team. Working on a flexible bank basis, you will support high-quality medicines supply to inpatients and outpatients, with opportunities to develop clinical skills and work closely with Pharmacists and nursing staff.

The role requires GPhC registration, a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification, and hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician with a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Hospital pharmacy experience is a must.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and prepare medications under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Support the safe management and supply of medicines throughout the hospital.
• Carry out medicines reconciliation and medication audits as required.
• Assist with stock control, ordering, receipt, storage, and rotation of medicines.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
• Support compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the management of controlled drugs in accordance with legal standards.

We are seeking a motivated and qualified Bank Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team within our modern private hospital. Working on a flexible bank basis, you will support the delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service, ensuring the safe and efficient supply of medicines to patients across a range of inpatient and outpatient services. As a Bank Pharmacy Technician at our prestigious Parkside Hospital, you’ll be qualified and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and will have excellent communication and people skills, as you’ll be working closely with our patients and a variety of clinical staff.

As a Bank Pharmacy Technician, you will:

• Join our talented multidisciplinary team
• Deliver high-quality clinical care and advice where it’s needed
• Be able to work accurately under pressure always paying attention to detail
• Will work closely with Pharmacists, Nursing teams, and other healthcare professionals to maintain excellent standards of pharmaceutical care and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
