Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Leicester, LE1. The role supports pharmacists and develops the skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician, with blended learning and on-the-job training.

You will complete the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, gain hands-on experience, and work toward GPhC registration upon successful completion.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (A-C / 4-9) or equivalent.
• Maths/English Level 2 tests may be required if not held.
• Interest in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Experience in pharmacy or similar is desirable.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Providing person-centered advice to patients on prescription and OTC medicines.
• Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance.
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff.
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback.

Job description

Working Week: 37.5 hours Monday-Friday. Participate in the provision of extended hours cover including weekdays, Saturdays
and Sundays on a rotational basis and Bank Holidays when required.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Apprenticeship & qualification
