Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in Staines-upon-Thames to join a busy pharmacy team. The role offers the opportunity to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills required to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Training is Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, delivered through blended learning alongside your day-to-day duties. Successful apprentices can gain practical experience and pursue future full-time employment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (4-9) in Maths and English desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
• If Maths/English Level 2 or equivalent is missing, initial tests determine suitability for the course.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and progress within pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, effective supply of medicines under supervision of pharmacists.
• Provide patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines, referring to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations including stock control and governance.
• Supervise and support junior staff as you progress in the apprenticeship.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff.
• Maintain high standards through auditing and responding to feedback.

Brief Description

TW18 1AT. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification

Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)

On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
