Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Lancaster is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is designed for progression toward becoming a registered Pharmacy Technician, with training provided through a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship.

You will support safe, lawful medicines supply, learn under pharmacists, and develop skills in patient advice, stock control, and governance within a busy community pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable but not essential.
• A Maths/English Level 2 or equivalent may be required; training tests may apply.
• Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship pathway with blended learning.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Provide person-centred advice on prescription and OTC medicines to patients.
• Support day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including stock control and governance.
• Supervise and support pharmacy support staff as you progress.
• Assist with training and mentoring new staff; participate in audits and feedback.
• Maintain high standards through auditing and service evaluation.

Brief Description

LA1 4DS We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Skills Required

• A keen interest in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Previous experience in the pharmacy industry or similar.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team and independently.

• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification:

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
