Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician for a two-year apprenticeship. You will study one day per week via distance learning and complete workplace assessments to gain a BTEC Level 3 Diploma.

On completion you must register with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will support medicines supply, assist in dispensary operations and gain ward-based experience across hospital settings.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs (or the equivalent level) at Grade C (4) or above including Maths and English.
• Science (Biology or Chemistry) or science equivalent of 2 years prior experience.

Responsibilities

• Support medicines supply and optimisation within the Trust.
• Dispense prescriptions and issue prescribed items; assist with stock control.
• Gain ward-based experience delivering pharmacy services on hospital wards.
• Undertake checks and contribute to accuracy of dispensed medicines.
