Job summary

I&F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Sheffield is recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role provides a clear path to become a registered Pharmacy Technician and progress within pharmacy while gaining hands-on experience.

You will undertake the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level) with blended learning delivered alongside your job, working with pharmacists to ensure safe supply of medicines and patient support.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback
