Job summary

Forest Pharmacy in Southampton is offering a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship. The apprentice will work 25 hours a week, under supervision, and progress through the apprenticeship to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

You will develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for safe medicine supply and high-quality patient care, with training providers and eligibility to register with the GPhC upon meeting requirements.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with patients and colleagues in a healthcare setting.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling medicines and records.
• Basic IT skills and ability to use pharmacy computer systems.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the safe preparation, dispensing, and supply of medicines under supervision.
• Accurately receive, process, and assemble prescriptions following standard operating procedures.
• Support stock management, including ordering, receiving, rotating, and checking pharmaceutical products.
• Maintain accurate records using pharmacy computer systems.
• Follow health and safety, infection prevention, and safeguarding procedures.
