Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is offering a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice role to support safe, effective, and lawful medicine supply while learning under pharmacists. The role targets progression to a registered Pharmacy Technician through a Level 3 apprenticeship.

The position involves medicines management, patient counseling, stock control, and governance within a busy community pharmacy, with potential full-time employment after completion.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship qualification provided.
• Keen interest in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to commit to the full apprenticeship duration and hours.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Providing patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines, referring to healthcare professionals when needed.
• Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including stock control and governance.
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy staff as you progress in the role.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff.
• Maintaining high standards through auditing and responding to feedback.

Education

GCSEs English and Maths (A-C or 4-9) and equivalent
