Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in West Drayton is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy team. This role trains towards a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship and aims to develop the skills needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

You will support safe, lawful supply of medicines and work closely with pharmacists, with potential for full‑time employment on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• Keen interest in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Previous experience in the pharmacy industry or similar.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
• Willingness to learn and develop your skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate.
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance.
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff.
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback.
