South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is offering a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice role to support safe medicines supply and patient care.

You will train through a blended learning approach while working with pharmacists and healthcare teams, aiming to register as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC on completion. This is a pathway to a registered professional career.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (4-9) in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level)
• On completion, eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and OTC medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback
