Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Baguley is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

The apprenticeship offers Level 3 Pharmacy Technician training with blended learning, leading to eventual GPhC registration. You will gain hands-on experience while earning a wage and developing transferable healthcare skills.

Qualifications

GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
If Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent are missing, you will complete tests to determine suitability for the course.
Strong interest in pharmacy and healthcare is important.
Previous experience in pharmacy or similar is helpful.
Good communication and customer service skills are required.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently, with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate.
Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance.
Supervising and supporting pharmacy staff as you progress in the role.
Assisting with training and mentoring new staff.
Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback.
