Job summary

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and forward-thinking pharmacy technician to join and enhance our current team.

Main duties of the job

Key roles and responsibilities:

  1. Manage patient discharge letters, update patient records, and medicines accordingly.

  2. Coordinate with the hospital to confirm changes and discuss with the clinical pharmacist when necessary.

  3. Set up patients' repeat prescriptions and synchronize medicines.

  4. Perform drug compliance checks.

  5. Handle out-of-stock medicines and find suitable alternatives.

  6. Switch inhalers to reduce carbon footprint.

  7. Convert branded medicines to generic equivalents following BNF, NICE, and GMMMG guidelines.

  8. Assist with QOF work and primary care incentives schemes.

  9. Conduct follow-up and review of new medicines with patients.

  10. Participate in Investment and Impact Fund (IIF) work within the practice.

  11. Monitor medicines and arrange blood tests for patients.

  12. Send alert messages to patients to update their BP, BMI, and other relevant information.
