Job summary

HCA UK is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician to join The Wilmslow Hospital's Pharmacy team in Manchester. You will support comprehensive pharmacy services across dispensary, procurement, stock control and ward top-up duties, reporting to the Senior Pharmacy Technician.

With GPhC registration and the required NVQ/BTEC qualifications, you will work in a small, autonomous team within a private healthcare setting that values patient care and professional development.

Qualifications

• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
• NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent qualification with underpinning knowledge.
• Accredited Checking Technician experience within a pharmacy as a qualified technician.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a comprehensive pharmacy service across dispensary, procurement, stock control, medicines distribution and ward top-up services.
• Contribute to day-to-day running of the Pharmacy and report to the Senior Pharmacy Technician with support from Lead Pharmacy Technician.
• Operate within a small hospital pharmacy team with autonomy and accountability.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at The Wilmslow Hospital, rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. As a key member of the Pharmacy Team, you will assist in the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service which consistently meet the needs of all service users. You will be responsible for working across all aspects of the core pharmacy operations, which may include dispensary, pharmacy procurement, stock control and management, medicines distribution and ward top‑up services. You will contribute to the day to day running of the Pharmacy and will report to the Senior Pharmacy Technician with support from Lead Pharmacy Technician. What you’ll bring
