Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to lead the Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technician team. You will supervise, guide and develop staff while ensuring high quality pharmacy services, including dispensing and distribution of medicines, for our patients and service users.

You will plan and manage your own workload and that of the team to deliver services efficiently and in line with Professional, Local and National directives.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in pharmacy and understanding NHS issues.
• Knowledge of IT and computer systems.
• Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Pharmacy Assistants and Pharmacy Technician team.
• Ensure delivery of quality pharmacy services including dispensing and distribution of medicines.
• Plan and manage workload to ensure cost-effective and efficient services.
• Train and develop staff including appraisal and competency assessments.
• Support development of new services, processes and procedures in line with directives.
• Line manage Pharmacy Assistants.
