Job summary

Cornwall Foundation NHS Trust is recruiting an Assistant Technical Officer to support pharmacy services at Bodmin Community Hospital and Camborne Redruth Community Hospital.

The role covers medicines supply, ward top-ups, expiry checks, and handling returned medication under supervision, with duties in audit, stock control and record-keeping.

This developmental band 2–3 position offers admin support across the pharmacy team, with a rolling 7-day rota and opportunities to grow within the service.

Qualifications

• To assist in the provision of pharmacy services by supporting the supply and distribution of medicines, including ward top-ups, expiry date checking, and handling returned medication.
• To support audit, stock control, and record-keeping processes.
• To provide routine administrative and clerical support to the pharmacy team and respond to basic enquiries.
• To provide admin support to the pharmacy team including 7 day service on a rolling rota.
• This is a developmental role; band 2 to 3 progression may apply.
