Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Trust is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer – Distribution at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven. Join a pharmacy team delivering the distribution service across the trust, supporting ward stock replenishment and order accuracy.

The role is a fixed-term, 12-month contract, full-time 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 08:30-16:30). Salary is NHS AfC Band 2 with associated benefits and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English language and mathematics (or equivalent).
• NVQ 2 in pharmacy services or equivalent achieved within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Undertake top-up service to wards and departments ensuring timely stock replacement.
• Prioritise incoming requisitions and orders with signed authorisation before issue.
• Assemble ward requisition and top-up orders and endorse picking notes for delivery.
• Check accuracy of orders assembled by other distribution staff.
