About ZAVA

We're on a mission to provide our patients with healthcare that is accessible and dependable at a fraction of today's cost. Our team of Doctors, Engineers, Customer Support Advisors, Marketers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Pharmacists, and Commercial & Operations Specialists work collaboratively to develop and maintain a digital healthcare platform that provides our patients with healthcare that suits their needs & schedules.

The pandemic changed our lives, requiring us to find flexible, remote and innovative healthcare solutions to meet our needs during challenging and changeable periods. Many of our patients turned to telemedicine as a convenient solution to getting their healthcare online from the comfort of their homes. Through delivering a safe and efficient digital healthcare service, we've provided over 11 million consultations across the UK, Germany, France, and Ireland, enabling millions of people with essential access to healthcare when they need it most.

We’re here because we care about healthcare and we plan to be the largest digital primary healthcare platform for people across Europe.

The role

As an online healthcare provider, we carry out a range of testing and treatment services for patients. Your role will be based at our in-house mail-order pharmacy based in Milton Keynes, supporting the supply and dispensing of medications to patients.

You’ll drive forward our mail-order pharmacy by adhering to ethical, professional and legal pharmacy standards, delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering, labelling, dispensing, packaging of medications and test kits.

You will need to be diligent, show close attention to detail and be familiar with working on high-volume repetitive tasks at scale. Against a background of increasing demand for healthcare from home, we want to ensure that we maintain our professional service and safety profile levels.

This is a great opportunity to be part of our clinical team working directly alongside our pharmacists and doctors. We do not have any pressure-driven targets and we guarantee you a lunch break out of the pharmacy every day. In addition, you will work with our customer support and operations teams to deliver efficient dispensary operations, building out the best service offering for our patients.

What can you expect from working with us?

Opportunity to support healthcare at scale - We are building the future of healthcare from our base of operations in Milton Keynes. As an established leader in digital healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in an exciting ongoing growth journey!

Ongoing support and training - We offer ongoing training in online pharmacy and opportunities to develop a career in digital health - an exciting and continually evolving new field. We also provide ongoing support from our clinical team, including support for CPD.

Chance to influence the future of healthcare - It is through technology that ZAVA has been able to make efficiency gains in the healthcare sector. To continue pushing boundaries and expand the company, our technology needs to evolve and grow and you will play a significant role in deciding what we do next.

Day-to-day the work will encompass:

Labelling, Dispensing, Dispatching - Labelling and dispensing a range of different prescriptions and preparing them for dispatch to patients across the UK.

Stock Management and Sorting - You will assist our in-house pharmacy team in handling deliveries of bulk stock, ensuring all stock and sundries are brought into the office and organised. This includes lifting and placing trays of ice packs (approx. 20kg) into freezers. You must be physically capable of safely lifting this stock. Manual handling training will be provided.

Maintain Work Areas - Keeping your work area clean and tidy at all times.

Order Processing - Using a database, tools, computer equipment and scanners to help manage the dispatch of medication and test kits from the office.

Excellence and quality - You strive for and help others achieve high standards. You are instrumental in communicating, collaborating and interacting with the operations team at all levels to ensure that the service provided to our patients is excellent.

Skills, Experience & Qualification

  • NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Dispensing or equivalent dispensing experience.
  • A good understanding of UK pharmacy requirements and regulations.

  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently as part of an onsite team.

We are working hard to try and level the playing field wherever we can. We know from research that men are happy to apply for positions where they fit just 60% of the requirements, whereas women and underrepresented groups often will not apply unless they feel they are a super close match. If you don't think you meet all the requirements that you see above, we encourage you to apply and tell us what we can do to give you your best shot. We know that talent is everywhere, and as much as nice CVs are nice, they are often not a proxy for the best person for the job.
