Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship in Colchester. You will support daily pharmacy operations and customers while completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

Your role covers helping with prescriptions, stock control, and using pharmacy systems, with a focus on safety, confidentiality and high service standards. No prior pharmacy experience is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a calm, helpful attitude when assisting customers.
• Good organisational abilities to manage stock, records and daily tasks.
• Patience and a customer‑focused approach for a busy pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Help maintain cleanliness, safety and confidentiality in the pharmacy.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent service Mon-Fri 8:00–18:30 (may include Saturday mornings).
