Job summary
Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day operations and help customers at the counter, working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided. This role includes stock handling, processing prescriptions under supervision, and assisting with public health services.
Qualifications
- GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
- For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
Responsibilities
- Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
- Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
- Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
- Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
- Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
