Job summary

Skills4Group is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Prudhoe to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will support day-to-day operations, assist customers and work closely with the pharmacy team while training towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will complete the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support, typically over around 15 months. No previous pharmacy experience is required as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• Genuine interest in healthcare and helping people.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries.
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
