Job summary

Boots UK seeks a Relief Dispenser to cover multiple stores within a defined geography across the UK. You will dispense prescriptions, advise patients, and support the pharmacy team to ensure safe and compliant healthcare services.

You will build strong patient relationships, work with store colleagues, and develop healthcare knowledge through regular training, with potential to train as a Pharmacy Technician or join store leadership pathways.

Qualifications

• Completed the NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification (or equivalent).
• Ability to travel across the defined geography with full flexibility.
• Current and valid UK right to work; this role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines; ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in-store to support delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Assist patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
• Communicate with store teams to ensure continuity of care.
